American Football are an American midwest emo band from Urbana, Illinois, originally active from 1997 to 2000. The band was formed by guitarist and singer Mike Kinsella (formerly of Cap'n Jazz, The One Up Downstairs, Joan of Arc, Owls and currently of Owen) and drummer Steve Lamos (formerly of The One Up Downstairs and currently of The Geese), and also included guitar player Steve Holmes. Liz Cooper is an American singer-songwriter. She formerly released music under the band name Liz Cooper & The Stampede. Read more on Last.fm

Mad Season was an American rock supergroup formed in Seattle, Washington, in 1994, featuring guitarist Mike McCready of Pearl Jam, vocalist Layne Staley of Alice in Chains, drummer Barrett Martin of Screaming Trees, and bassist John Baker Saunders. The band combined members of the Seattle grunge scene and released a single studio album, "Above", in March 1995. The album included the single "River of Deceit", which achieved radio success, and was certified gold by the RIAA in June 1995. Read more on Last.fm

Ween is an American rock band from New Hope, Pennsylvania, formed in 1984 by Aaron Freeman and Mickey Melchiondo, who perform under the stage names Gene Ween and Dean Ween. The band is commonly categorized as alternative rock and is noted for a highly eclectic musical style drawing on influences including funk, psychedelia, soul, country, gospel, progressive rock, R&B, heavy metal, and punk rock. Edwyn Collins (born 23 August 1959) is a Scottish musician from Edinburgh, Scotland. He formed the Nu-Sonics in 1976, which became Orange Juice in 1979. The group is perhaps best known for the No. 8 hit "Rip it Up", its only UK top 40 single. In 1985, Orange Juice broke up, and he has since then pursued a solo career. Good Flying Birds is a jangling, noisy guitar-pop group from the Midwest, USA, influenced by Guided By Voices and others, and signed with Carpark Records. It began in December 2023 with a collection of 4-track cassette recordings and stop-motion videos uploaded to YouTube under the name “Talulah God". As of 2025, their lineup consisted of Kellen Baker (guitar/vocals), Susie Slaughter (vocals/tambourine), Ari Bales (drums), Luke Cornette (guitar), and Richard Edge (bass). Read more on Last.fm

Broken Social Scene are a Canadian indie rock collective formed in 1999 in Toronto, Ontario. The band's core members were Kevin Drew and Brendan Canning. This duo recorded and released the band's ambient debut album Feel Good Lost, in 2001, with contributions from Ohad Benchetrit (also known as Years), Evan Cranley, Leslie Feist, Justin Peroff, Bill Priddle, and Charles Spearin. Built to Spill is an American alternative rock band based in Boise, Idaho, United States. The band is best known for its catchy guitar hooks and the unique voice of frontman Doug Martsch. Former Treepeople frontman Doug Martsch formed Built to Spill in 1992 with Brett Netson and Ralf Youtz as the band's original members. In an interview with Spin magazine, Martsch stated that he intended to change the band's lineup for every album, with Martsch being the only permanent member. Read more on Last.fm

Car Seat Headrest is an American indie rock band formed in Leesburg, Virginia, and currently located in Seattle, Washington. The band consists of Will Toledo (vocals, guitar, piano, and synthesizers), Ethan Ives (guitar, bass, backing vocals), Seth Dalby (bass), and Andrew Katz (drums, percussion). Beginning as a solo recording project by Toledo in 2010, Car Seat Headrest self-released 12 albums on the music platform Bandcamp, before signing to Matador Records in 2015. Cool Sounds are a five-piece indie pop band from Melbourne, Australia. Current line up is Dainis Lacey (guitar, vocals), Nick Kearton (guitar), Jack Nichols (guitar), Steve Foulkes (drums), and Ambrin Hasnain. Former band members include Liam Halliwell (sax), Tim Eilenberg (bass), and Lauren Huynh. The band has been signed to several independent labels that have gone defunct, including French label Beko Disques and Melbourne labels Whalesmouth and Deaf Ambitions. Read more on Last.fm
